‘I Really Don’t Have Any Words For The Stupidity’: Joe Scarborough Flames Gov. Northam For Blaming ‘Hellish’ I-95 Scene On Out-Of-State Drivers

Celebrities Visit SiriusXM – August 2, 2017 “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough laid into Democratic Virginia Governor Ralph Northam during his Monday morning broadcast on MSNBC, criticizing him both for his slow response to the hundreds of drivers who were stranded due to snow and ice on I-95 and for his comments blaming out-of-state drivers for the mess.

“So the roads are now clear, but questions remain as to why it took so long for help to arrive,” co-host Mika Brzezinski began, noting that the problem stretched far beyond just the traffic at a dead stop on the highway. She noted that many had been desperately searching for gas or a hotel room somewhere only to be met with power outages and gas station closures.

“It was impossible. Apocalyptic was the word that was used,” she added.

  1. Face it, drivers of 18-wheelers don’t know how to drive in snow and were going too fast for conditions and were probably passing each other when six of them had a big pile-up. Here in Connecticut we had serious ice storms a few years ago and the governor had state cops at the interstate entrances to the state stop all trucks and leave the roads open to four-wheeled vehicles. Result: no pile-ups. Oh the truckers whined and cried like they always do but nobody cared. After the plows and salt trucks made their pass, the governor opened the interstates to 18 wheelers and guess what happened? You got it. Ten minutes later the moron truckers went too fast for conditions and wound up in a ditch.
