According to Coachella Councilmember Yadira Perez, her husband “wasn’t perfect.” And by that, she means he broke federal immigration laws and racked up an “extensive criminal record” while living illegally in this country.
So, while Perez may have thought this was perfectly normal, considering no one has yet to hold her husband accountable, he was arrested as part of “targeted enforcement action.”

Question: Did she think being hysterical like that would help her cause? It’s doubtful that ICE agents will feel sympathy towards her but that is exactly what not to do in a situation like this.
