Speaking on MSNBC Wednesday, Biden-Harris administration Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo said that 2024 GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump needs to be “extinguished.”
“Like, how did we get here, let’s extinguish [Trump] for good,” she said. “We have an answer, we have a remarkably talented candidate who’s sincere, who’s pragmatic, who’s open. Let’s just get it done.”
This comes after two assassination attempts on Trump’s life in as many months. The first came at his July 13 Butler, Pennsylvania rally, where gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks shot Trump in the ear, injured two spectators, and killed father and firefighter Corey Comperatore. Crooks was killed at the scene by counter-snipers.
The second assassination attempt came on September 15, where suspect Ryan Routh allegedly laid in wait for 12 hours at Trump’s West Palm Beach golf course. Secret Service agents fired on the suspect, who fled. Routh was later arrested on I-95.
