(DCNF)—“The View” co-host Sunny Hostin claimed Thursday without any evidence that former first lady Melania Trump hates her husband, Republican nominee Donald Trump, and “wants to take him out.”
Melania came out in support of abortion legalization in her memoir and in an ad promoting the book, saying it is “imperative” that women have the right to bodily autonomy. Hostin claimed that the former first lady is publicly coming out in support of abortion because she does not want to return to the White House and “cannot tolerate” her husband.
“I think she hates him, ” Hostin said. “Okay, so we can all agree on that, that’s a given. I also think that she wants to take him out. She does not want to be the first lady anymore. She destroyed the Rose Garden. Who hates Christmas? Melania Trump hates Christmas. She doesn’t want to decorate for Christmas, she doesn’t want to sleep in the same room as him, she can’t tolerate him.”

Co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar interjected to say Hostin’s claims about Melania are alleged reports, with Behar stating Hostin “does not know all this.”
“Yeah, how do you know all this? You don’t know all this,” Behar said.
“Allegedly, that’s why I say allegedly,” Goldberg said while interjecting Hostin.
Melania said in her advertisement that “there is no room for compromise” about a woman’s “individual freedom.”

Trump has publicly opposed a national abortion ban and strict bans or restrictions in states like Arizona and Florida. He has stated that he believes abortion should be left up to the states, angering many pro-life groups who have advocated for a federal ban.
The former president told NBC News he will vote against a November ballot initiative in Florida that would expand access to abortion.
